Solubility: slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in ethanol and alkali solution, 1g this product is soluble in 1300ml water, about 350ml alcohol, 500ml almost insoluble in ether ,soluble in alkali hydroxide or carbonate alkali solution is dark red, stable in air.

Acid-base indicator; Total blood carbon dioxide measurement; The indicator of preparing disaccharide ferric urea medium in bacterial serum test.
