Application: With sweet, spicy, coffee, caramel-like smell, used in food, tobacco aroma enhancement usage: beverage, cold drink, 0.13; Candy 0.03 ~ 0.13; Molten baked products 0.03mg/kg.

Main Uses:

 

5-methylfurfural is an intermediate between pyrethroid allethrin and proparthrin.
GB 2760--1996 for the permissible use of food spices. 
Used as tobacco flavor.
