Diammonium phosphate, also known as diammonium hydrogen phosphate (DAP), is a compound fertilizer containing two nutrients, nitrogen and phosphorus. Diammonium hydrogen phosphate is a high-concentration quick-acting fertilizer, easy to dissolve in water, less solid after dissolution, suitable for a variety of crops and soil, especially suitable for nitrogen and phosphorus crops, as a base fertilizer or topdressing can be applied deep. Diammonium phosphate refers to the standard product containing N18%, P2O548%, the crystal shape is flat skew prismatic, the solubility in water at 25ºC is 71%, and the pH of its saturated solution is 8, which is much higher than monoammonium phosphate. Since the saturated solution of diammonium phosphate is alkaline, the application on acidic soil can reduce the fixation of iron and aluminum on phosphorus, so that phosphorus can maintain a high availability, so it is recommended to use diammonium phosphate on acidic soil.
