Dark red or red monoclinic crystal system columnar crystal or powder. Soluble in water  insoluble in ethanol.

1.Potassium ferricyanide can be used in printing and platemaking, oxidation, bleaching and coloring of color film, photodevelopment and development, production of blueprint paper, pharmaceutical (antibacterial synergist, PMP, etc.), blue marking powder for cutting Chemicalbook. Also used in electroplating, leather, paper and fertilizer.
