Purple to dark purple or dark blue to very dark blue powder. Slightly soluble in cold water, dissolved in hot water, the aqueous solution is bright blue, It dissolves in ethanol and is bright blue. Blood red in concentrated sulfuric acid, orange-red when diluted.

This product is used for content determination, not for other purposes.

Acid Blue 90 is used for dyeing wool, silk and nylon, with bright color, good fastness to wet treatment, poor fastness to sun, and few applications of wool fabric. It is also used for direct printing of wool, silk and nylon fabrics, and coloring of leather and paper. Used for dyeing wool and silk.

In biochemical research, it is used for gel electrophoresis protein staining. Without penetrating into the glue, it is 3 times more sensitive than NaphtholBlueBlackB1, simple and sensitive; Various protein tests can be performed, and the chemicals and free amino acids associated with the Lowry reaction have no effect on the protein staining test. Acid blue 90 is also a P2X7 purinergic receptor agonist.
