Lithium orotate is also known as vitamin B13. A white shiny acicular crystal or crystalline powder obtained from water, odorless and sour. Melting point 345 ~ 346ºC. Insoluble in cold water and ethanol, slightly soluble in hot water. It reacts with concentrated to form 5-chlorouracil-4-carboxylic acid. It can be obtained by condensation into diethyl butanoate, which is then hydrolyzed by urea.
