The main uses of hexahydrate nickel sulfate include electroplating industry, organic synthesis, production of hardening oil as a catalyst for paint, and production of other nickel salts.
In the electroplating industry, nickel sulfate hexahydrate is the main raw material for electroplating nickel and chemical nickel, and is also used as a mordant for metal coloring and reducing dyes.
2. In the pharmaceutical industry, nickel sulfate hexahydrate is used as a catalyst for the oxidation reaction in the production of vitamin C, and as a catalyst for oil hydrogenation in the production of hardened oil.
Nickel sulfate hexahydrate is also easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohols, and easily soluble in methanol. These physical properties give it advantages in various chemical applications.
