4-Bromo-1-indanone is a white to yellow powdered substance.

 

Main Uses:

 

4-bromo-1-indanone is an indolone derivative whose chemical structure contains an indene ring and a ketone group, as well as a  atom that replaces the C-4 position on the indene ring. Its chemical formula is C9H7BrO. This compound is commonly used as an intermediate or reagent in organic synthesis. It can be prepared by bromination on the indene ring, for example by using  acidic conditions.

4-bromo-1-indone is used to prepare N' -indenyl-n-benzopyrazoly-urea, which can be used as a TRPV1 antagonist for analgesics. It is also used to synthesize 1, 4-dihydroindene [1,2-c] pyrazoles, which are used as inhibitors of KDR kinase.

4-bromo-1-indone can be used as pharmaceutical intermediates.

4-Bromo-1-indanone is used to prepare N'-indanyl-N-benzopyrazolylurea, which can be used as an analgesic TRPV1 antagonist; also used to synthesize 1 as a KDR kinase inhibitor ,4-Dihydroindeno[1,2-c]pyrazole compounds.
