Chromium picolinate is a new feed additive, which can strengthen and stimulate the biological activity of glycogen synthase and , participate in the metabolism of sugar, fat and protein, coordinate the action, promote ovarian maturation and ovulation, so as to improve litter size; Strengthen the body's immune function, improve resistance. Also used as medicine and health care products, food additives.
 

Chromium picolinate (CrPic) is a supplement or alternative drug for type 2 diabetes; Experimental evidence shows that CrPic has an effect on glucose uptake through the activation of p38MAPK. Chromium is thought to enhance  function, leading to increased  sensitivity in type 2 diabetes.

 

At present, studies by domestic and foreign nutrition societies and institutions show that long-term intake of chromium ≥1000ug/ day is easy to cause poisoning. The maximum allowable consumption of health food is 250ug/ day.
