Brown to yellow-brown to dark red solid. Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water, easily soluble in ethanol, are blue. In concentrated sulfuric acid brown light yellow, after dilution to red yellow. Olive green in concentrated nitric acid. The aqueous solution is reddish brown when sodium hydroxide is added.
Basic Blue 7 can be used to dye wool, silk and tannin-dyed cotton fibers, but the color fastness is poor. When dyeing silk, if the direct fast turquoise blue GB or direct lake blue 5B is dyed, and then the Basic Blue 7 is overcolored, the color obtained is gorgeous, which is not matched by other dyes. This product is mostly used for paper, bamboo, wood products coloring and manufacturing blue ink, color lake, biological and bacterial tissue coloring.
Basic Blue 7 is used in the manufacture of ballpoint pen oil, carbon paper and waxed paper. Can also be used for bamboo, wood coloring and manufacturing color lake. It can also be used for dyeing cotton, acrylic fiber and silk.
Basic Blue 7 is also used in the fields of pesticide synthesis, metal surface treatment and developer preparation.
