Copper acetate, dark green monoclinic crystal, melting point 115ºC, 240ºC to remove the crystal water, soluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in ether and glycerol. Used as an analytical reagent, chromatographic analytical reagent. It is also used as organic synthesis catalyst, ceramic coloring and pesticide.

Copper acetate monohydrate is often used in organic chemistry for various catalytic reactions in organic synthesis, such as oxidation reactions, oxidation of olefin and fatty alcohols, and oxidative condensation of alcohols and aldehydes. Copper acetate monohydrate is also widely used in farming and agriculture. It can be used as a fungicide for the prevention and control of plant diseases, such as rot, downy mildew, etc. It can also be used as a fertilizer additive to provide copper needed by plants.
