Chemical Property/Description
1. Color: 115-41-3 is a deep purple crystalline solid.
2. Solubility: It is soluble in alcohol, ether,  other organic solvents, but insoluble in water.
3. Stability: 115-41-3 violet is stable under light, but it will fade under weak alkaline and strong acidic conditions.

It has a metallic luster. Soluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in anhydrous ethanol, insoluble in non-polar solvents (such as ether, benzene, xylene). Its aqueous solution is yellow, and when the acidity increases, it turns from yellow to red, the solution above pH6 becomes purple, and the solution above pH9 becomes reddish-purple.


Main Uses:

1. Dye: It can be used to dye textiles, leather, paper, wood and other materials, giving it a deep purple.

2. Pigment: 115-41-3 is often used as a painting pigment for artists.
