Pyrithione sodium, also known as pyrithione sodium, omeprazole sodium, pyrithioxacin, and α - mercaptopropylin-N-oxide sodium, belongs to the pyridine derivative class of fungicides. The liquid is a light yellow transparent liquid, and the solid is a light yellow or off white powder. Melting point of 250 ºC, with a slight characteristic odor. Easy to dissolve in organic solvents such as water and ethanol, solubility (by mass fraction): water 53%, ethanol 19%, polyethylene glycol (PEG400) 12%. The optimal pH range for use is 7-10, with a mass fraction of 2% aqueous solution and a pH value of 8.0. Unstable to light, oxidants, and strong reducing agents. Non ionic surfactants can cause some slight deactivation, and they can undergo chelation reactions with heavy metals.
Purpose:
1. Can be used in fields such as metal cutting fluid, rust inhibitor, latex paint, adhesive, leather products, textile products, copperplate paper, etc.
2. Applied in various antifungal drugs and hair care products in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, it not only prevents product spoilage and mold, but also relieves itching and dandruff, making it very effective.
3. It can be used as an effective fungicide for crops such as fruit trees, peanuts, wheat, and vegetables, and is also an excellent disinfectant for silkworms.
4. Can be used to prepare disinfectants, dishwashing agents, and medical broad-spectrum antifungal dermatological drugs.
