Use:
Ammonium dihydrogen phosphate is a colorless transparent tetragonal system of coarse or fine crystals. Relative density (19ºC) 1.803, melting point 150ºC. Soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ketone. Stable in the air, heating to 100 ~ 110ºC will not lose ammonia; When heated to more than 130 ° C, it begins to decompose, and gradually releases ammonia and water to generate a mixture of ammonium metaphosphate and phosphoric acid. Its aqueous solution is acidic, and 1% solution has a pH of 4.5.
In circulating water and boiler water treatment, it can be used as an anode corrosion inhibitor, and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, like chromate, can form a fairly hard protective film on the metal surface. In the biochemical treatment of water, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate can be used as a culture agent for organisms
It is used in food industry as leavening agent, dough conditioner, yeast food, brewing fermentation aid, buffer agent. It is also used as an animal feed additive.
Preparation of buffer and medium, preparation of phosphate, phosphor, wood, paper, fabric flame retardant, dry powder extinguishing agent. Analytical standard is used for nitrogen determination by Kjeldahl method. After the first opening, it is recommended to be filled with nitrogen for storage.
