Chemical Property/Description:

Disodium edetate dihydrate(EDTA-2Na) is odorless or salty white or milky white crystalline or granular powder, odorless and tasteless. It is soluble in water and extremely insoluble in ethanol.

 
Main Uses:

EDTA-2Na (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium) is a highly efficient chelating agent, whose core function is to achieve multi field applications by chelating metal ions. Its main uses are classified as follows:
1, Industrial sector
-Metal processing and electroplating
Used in chemical copper plating, gold plating, and metal surface treatment solutions to prevent metal oxidation and improve coating uniformity.
-Textile printing and dyeing
As a dye stabilizer, it prevents dye decomposition and enhances dye adhesion.
-Water treatment
Chelate heavy metal ions (such as lead and mercury) and calcium and magnesium ions in water to reduce water hardness and prevent equipment scaling.
