Chemical Property/Description

Mordant Orange 1 is orange brown crystal, decomposition at 253 ~ 254ºC; Soluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in  ethylene glycol ether, almost insoluble in other organic solvents; The product is sodium salt (C13H8N3NAO5), a brown-yellow powder, soluble in water, its solution is brown-yellow.

Main Uses:

Mordant Orange 1 is mainly used as a pH indicator and as a biological stain in the chemical inspection and dyeing industry.

1.In the field of chemistry,the use of test paper is extremely frequent, it is a class of paper impregnated with chemicals, which can test the existence of certain substances in liquids or gases through its color changes.
