Cresol Red is an organic acid-base indicator with the appearance of a reddish brown crystalline powder. It is sensitive to PH and is yellow at PH 4.4-6.2, red at PH 6.2-8.3, and purple at PH greater than 8.3. it is not soluble in water, soluble in ethanol.
1. Biochemical experiments:Cresol Red can be used for acid-base titration, electrophoresis staining and other experiments, and is often used as an indicator in yeast plasmid screening.
