Properties: Appearance: Colorless liquid with a smell similar to alcohol. Density: 0.809 g/cm³ Soluble: soluble in alcohol, ether and ketone, miscible with water. Toxicity: tert-amyl alcohol is not acutely toxic at low concentrations, but may be harmful to health at high concentrations. Uses: as a solvent: tert-amyl alcohol is commonly used as a solvent in organic synthesis, and can replace some toxic solvents. Chemical synthesis: tert-amyl alcohol can be used to prepare other organic compounds, such as esters, ethers and aldehydes.

 

It is mainly used in the production of new pesticide powder, pinazone, triazolone, triazolol, seed protection agent, etc. It can also be used for the synthesis of indene musk and as a color forming agent for color film.
