Main Uses:

It is a naturally occurring deoxygenated sugar found mainly in plants and some bacteria. Unlike most natural sugars, its configuration is L, not D. It is the main structural component of the cell wall of plant and binds to other compounds, such as phenols. Due to its anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties, it is now used as an anti-wrinkle agent.

L(+)-Rhamnose monohydrate can inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria and promote the growth of beneficial bacteria.

L(+)-Rhamnose monohydrate is one of the normal intestinal flora and belongs to colonizing bacteria.
It can regulate the normal environment of intestinal flora, inhibit the occurrence of diseases, and is of great help for the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea, especially the diarrhea of middle-aged and elderly people related to antibiotics.

L(+)-Rhamnose monohydrate can improve the immune function of the body, and it is also helpful to relieve allergy symptoms.

Application

L-Rhamnose monohydrate uses:
1, In the field of medicine and health
Antifungal therapy: Targeting seborrheic dermatitis caused by Malassezia, the therapeutic effect is achieved by inhibiting fungal proliferation. Combined with drugs such as ketoconazole, the dosage of antifungal agents can be reduced and safety can be improved. Local anti-inflammatory agents are used to alleviate skin inflammation and reduce the toxicity risk of traditional antifungal drugs.

Immune regulation and cancer treatment: oligosaccharide structure combined with immunogens for adjuvant development in cancer immunotherapy. Promote the fermentation of gut microbiota, increase serum propionate levels, and indirectly enhance immune function.

Metabolic disease auxiliary management: Inhibiting cholesterol synthesis and assisting in the prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. The low sugar property can help control blood sugar and is suitable for food additives for diabetes patients.

2, Food industry
Sweetener and additives: Sweetness is 33% of sucrose, used as a natural sweetener in high-end coffee, beverages, and baked goods. It is the key raw material for essence and spice production to improve the flavor of meat products, bread and other foods.

Functional food development: slows down gastric emptying, improves appetite, and prolongs satiety, suitable for meal replacement or sugar controlled foods. As a prebiotic ingredient, it regulates the balance of gut microbiota.

3, Research and Testing
Biochemical reagents: used for sugar chemistry research (such as redox reactions, polysaccharide structure analysis) and bacterial antigen determinant analysis.
Enhanced detection reagent for pneumococcal biofilm.

Medical diagnosis: markers for testing the permeability of the human intestinal barrier (in the form of sugar drinks).

4, Daily chemical and industrial applications
As a natural ingredient added to skincare products, it delays skin aging through its antioxidant properties.
