Neodymium oxide, the chemical formula Nd2O3, is a metal oxide. It is insoluble in water and soluble in acid.

It is mainly used as a colorant for glass and ceramics. Neodymium oxide has an elegant hue and can produce a discoloration effect, so it is also used in ceramics, textile dyeing ,superconducting and other high-tech materials.
Applications in the medical field. Nano-yttrium oxide aluminum garnet lasers doped with nano-neodymium oxide can produce short-wave lasers, which can be used instead of scalpels in special situations.
