New hesperidin is a natural new nutritional sweetener extracted from poncirus aurantium. The new hesperidin dihydrochalcone obtained by hydrogenation is 1500-2000 times sweeter than sucrose. It is widely used as a sweetener (taste corrector) for fruit juice, fruit wine, beverages, pastries and pharmaceutical formulations, especially as a food for diabetic patients.
It is used as a flavonoid compound.
