L-calcium lactate is a natural active ion calcium, is approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a food use of a calcium preparation, chemical formula is C6H10CaO6·5H2O, because of its high calcium content, solubility, high absorption rate, high safety, reasonable price and other advantages and attention.

L-calcium lactate is an important organic acid salt, which can be used as nutrient supplement, buffer, dough conditioner, curing agent and so on.
