Triethyl orthoformate is widely used in the synthesis of chloroquine, quinoperine, dichloroquinoline, floxacin, cyclopropylfloxacin, haloperquinolinic acid and aminopyrimidine in medicine. In the field of pesticides, it is widely used in the production of pyrimethuron, pyrimethuron, pyrimethuron, chlorpyrimethuron, tetrazolsulfuron, diazoxazonium and diformamidine. Triethyl orthoformate is also an intermediate in acrylic fibers and methylate dyes used in the synthesis of cyanine dyes.
