Chemical Property/Description

Dark red crystalline powder, soluble in ethanol and acetic acid, almost insoluble in water. After long-term preservation, the sensitivity of methyl red ethanol solution can be significantly reduced due to the esterification of carboxyl group, and the maximum absorption wavelength is 410nm, which can be used for protozoan staining and acid-base indicator, and the pH color range is 4.4 (red) ~ 6.2 (yellow).
